Hi Tom I hope everything is ok in Wigan. Please conveyer my sincere apologies for that remark I made about the poor chap who died on the M6 the other week, Any road up when I arrived here i hired a car from the airport and as usual I don't make a preference on the make and model of car and, this time they gave me a Fiat 500, I think Sledge must have some influence and this was a penance for my behaviour, I don't know how he drives one, I have to fold down the seats and sit in the boot to get the leg room,

Well, at least he's apologised, but it would have been better if he'd done so personally, and not through a third person.

Yes Mollie, under tonkers tough coal miners skin there is a gentle caring person who. does not readily show outwardly, So he's asked me to, path the way of his upcoming return because, Folks know me for my honesty, reliability as a ' real person' not just a keyboard robot that no one knows or has met in the past, He meant his unkind remark as a flippant retort in his frustration, not in disrespect at all,

Tonker is the kind of person who would either not apologise or apologise himself.

Surely tom cant be making this up?

I would agree with Stardelta and retep, and I don't think that Tonker is the apologising kind, and Tonker said he was ignoring us until he returns from his hols on the 27th

Tonker is quite capable of posting from Spain He's done it before. Why would he need tom to do it for him. Bear in mind tonker will back tom up on this if only to cause an argument.

The pair of them will be having a good old chuckle between them probably.

Please let me make myself clear. As I've said before on another thread, I've "known" Tonker since 2006 and overall I've always liked him, even when he's tried to make fun of me.

Most of the time, many of his comments have been "tongue in cheek" not to be taken seriously, but even though I've never met him personally, I've been aware of a kind side to him, which he has shown on many occasions.

It doesn't matter what jobs he's done in the past, and I too have a thick skin - I've had to be - didn't give him licence to air such an insensitive comment on a public forum. I did something equally stupid many years ago and was vilified for it, and I lost a lot of nice people who had befriended me, so I made a public apology to all members for my insensitivity. I'm not excusing myself, but at that time I was grieving for my partner who had died suddenly just a couple of weeks earlier and with that came anger, frustration and other negative thoughts which comes from extreme grief, so I did apologise for it.

The reason I'm sharing that for those who read it, will perhaps understand that forgiveness is the key to show that such insensitive comments will never be repeated, and that people will learn to trust each other once more.

I feel sure that he will have realised by now how his comment angered people, and will think more carefully in future what he posts.

Molly you have just poured you heart out and apologised, the guy who sent the post now says ...so what live with it;
No compasion for the guy and his family who was involved in the incident he's pulling the wool over your eyes

it's not the first time he has come out with a nasty/sick comment, and, it won't be the last.

the trouble with Tonker is, that he thinks the rules don't apply to him and he can say/post what he wants, so maybe he would be better on Plummy's site, it could do with some posters.

Like I said earlier….. the pair of them are taking the pi** out of you!
